We've Updated Our Website

We're excited to announce that we've updated
our website's back end code as well as the front end look.
It's something we've been needing to do for some time
as most our old code was pretty much duck taped together
and it just got sloppier as the years went by.

Now are site is not only faster in terms of loading for dial up
or slow mobile device connections,
but it meets and exceeds WC3 HTML 5
and WC3 CSS Validation standards.

Our website is also compatible with the most commonly
used browsers in use today, to include Internet Explorer 9 and above
as well as all versions of Mozzilla FireFox , Opera, Google Chrome
and Safari .

We've also tested our website's graphics and page load
times using various online tools that check for speed and lets
us now where there are areas we may need to correct.
With that in mind, we have crunched our graphics as much
as possible to help ensure you have a pleasant and user friendly experience.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this information for all to see
because in the process, I learned a lot more technical stuff than
I ever dreamed possible and I think it has really improved out website's overall performance.

Slight Adjustments To Your Wine Glass Rack

We can usually make slight adjustments to your
under cabinet/counter wine glass rack, at no additional charge.
For instance, say you want a 26.5 or 27.5 inch long glass rack...
Simply purchase a 26 inch long unit (at either 9,10 or 12 inches deep)
and leave us a message at CheckOut about the slight adjustments.
These slight adjustments aren't generally a problem.
Just understand that we would make the length as close to your original length as possible,
(with-out going over your adjustment specifications).
This is because you don't want the 'spread' the slats to be
too far apart (or too close together)
and this can only be determined when the rack is laid out for assembly.

* We're also able to cut any units down to your cabinet's depth/specifications.
Just purchase the next size/depth up and at CheckOut, let us know how deep you need the slats.
(For instance, if you have 11.5 inch depth to work with, purchase a 12 inch unit and we'll cut the slats down to 11.5).

How It All Began

The idea to manufacture and market wine glass racks online for the consumer at large popped into my head
due to a job I was commissioned to do back in the late 90's for the Lake City Country Club, in North Florida.
It was sometime in the middle of 1999 that it dawned on me as I was flipping through some of my work photo albums,
that this might be something folks would be interested in.


From there we went on to develop different styles of wine glass racks.
Many of our first customers were the one's who collaborated with us and helped set the business in motion.
In mid-summer of 1999, we test marketed a variety of glass racks on
sites like eBay and the old Yahoo Auctions site.
We even set up old Yahoo/GeoCities and Anglefire/Lycos free web sites
and were taking orders and selling to folks from there.

Imagine that!

Anyway, I just wanted to post this, because I realized I've never put out a founding statement about our
company and how it all begun.

Mounting A Glass Rack Under A Partial Board OR MDF Counter/Cabinet

Particle board or MDF, are commonly used material these days.
Many manufactures of counter tops, cabinets, curio hutches, entertainment centers and alike, use this material because it is cost effective for them.
However, partial board can be a pain to try and screw through, as it can be brittle.

You most certainly want to make small pilot holes to help prevent the screws
from wallowing out as you try to screw in any type of 'add on' appliance.
Another tip to ensure your wine glass rack (or any appliance)
will stay in place, is to use either a wood glue, or construction adhesive.
This also holds true if you plan on mounting a glass rack under a marble counter top
or any other non porous surface.

We recommend using either LIQUID NAILS, Gorilla Glue, or even Elmer's Wood Glue or for this type of mounting application.
Just be sure to check the formula you use, to ensure it will work with
the surface in which you wish to mount your glass rack to.

Glass Racks With Imagination

This was originally a TV entertainment cabinet
that a customer converted into a wine bar that stores
both her stemware and bottles of wine.
We built here a custom stemware unit to accommodate her glasses
and as you can see, the wine glass rack fit perfectly.

Under Cabinet Glass Rack Installation Instructions

Simply screw the provided screws through the unit
(at the pilot holes) and secure to your mounting surface.
Please check your screw size depth to ensure the provided screws will not go
all the way through your mounting surface.
Also, don't use a power drill or screw gun, unless you know how to set the
clutch so that the screws wont go in too tight and split the support rails.

This custom wine glass rack starts out at 20 inches at it's largest point
and tapers down to just over 5 inches at it's last wine glass slat,
creating a wedge type design sure to turn heads.
The design was not mine though, so I must give credit where credit is due.
We thank Rick, who not only conceived this beautiful piece of work, but also
drew up the pictures to show us what he wanted.
We took it from there and we are all very pleased with the end result.

Measuring Your Stemware

Our wine glass racks are designed to fit the most popular
sizes and styles of stemware on the market today.
However you may have some unique stemware that may require
us to build you a custom sized glass rack to ensure your stemware will fit.
If this applies to your situation, you may need to measure your stemware
at the base including the thickness,
as our racks will generally hold a base of up to apx. 3 3/4
to almost 4 inches across and a thickness of apx. 3/8 to 1/2 inches thick.

Our wine glass racks will also comfortably
accommodate stemware with bowls
of apx. 4 1/2 to about 5 inches across.
If you have stemware that is larger than this,
simply measure and let us know ahead of time
and we will quote you
a price on either a custom or modified unit.

Wood Species We Offer

Presently we offer three types of wood for you to choose from.
Poplar Spruce or Premium Pine.
The most economical and the STANDARD racks are built with Spruce.
The next level up is Poplar, and then my favorite, Premium Pine.
The spruce we are able to get, often has more imperfections than the other two choices,
but is indeed suitable for most applications where a tight budget is a must.
Polar is fine textured, soft and lightweight wood that is easily worked and takes paints and stains
exceptionally well and is frequently finished to look like other woods.
Premium Pine is also soft and lightweight and takes paints and stains
exceptionally well and is frequently finished to look like other woods.
We like it because there are very few imperfections and it just looks great, either natural
or stained.

Choosing A Wine Glass Rack

The standard under cabinet glass rack
are apx. 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" from top
to bottom
and works well with over 98% of cabinets.
However, some cabinets may have a lip in the front
and some may even have a lip in the back.
Knowing the overall depth of the cabinet you can work with,
(how far you have between the lip/s if any)
as well as how far down the lip comes past your cabinet,
can be crucial information for determining
what type rack or depth
glass rack you plan to mount in that space.

Our standard
Under Cabinet Wine Glass Racks, with the 9" depth, usually does
the trick for most cabinet types as you simply mount the rack
as far back as possible and still have plenty of clearance
at the front to retrieve you stemware.
However, if you have a cabinet that's overall depth is less than apx. 12" deep or so.
Or you have a cabinet that has a thick lip at either the front and or the back.
You may consider asking us to shorten your slats a bit to ensure you can easily access
you stemware once your new wine glass rack is installed.
If you need a shorter version than our standard 9" depth.
No problem,just let us know and we will be happy to accomodate you.

If your looking for an under cabinet wine glass rack that mounts flush
with a lip that exstends below the actual cabinet, please let us know how far down

glass racks are also a suitable and popular
choice for many.

These type racks are so versatile that you can mount them under
a cabinet /counter inside a cabinet,
at a pass through, on a ceiling over a bar, or just about anywhere you want.
The lengths of these type racks is also adjustable.
Meaning we can make them just about as long or short as you need.
The depth and thickness make them a great alternative
for just about any application.
